UUFSMA Google Group

UUFSMA operates a Google Group for members and friends to share information about social, volunteer and care activities in and around San Miguel. We support free speech and invite you to share matters of general interest. All postings represent those who post them. UUFSMA does not endorse, vouch for, or subscribe to information or opinions posted in this group.

Before joining the UUFSMA Google Group, please carefully read the usage policy below.

• The UUFSMA does not endorse postings to the UUFSMA Google Group.
  
  
• The purpose of the group is for posting information about social, volunteer and care activities in and around San Miguel and spiritual and community readings and resources likely to be of interest, benefit or support to the entire UUFSMA Community.
  
  
• It is not a platform to debate Fellowship policy or business or to post information related to politics.
  
  
• Please use the Google Group with a sense of courtesy, respect, and fidelity to the Fellowship and our UU Principle of “justice, equity and compassion in human relations”.
  
  
• All postings will be pre-screened for up to 24 hours before posting.
  
  
• Spam postings, false or abusive postings, postings that debate Fellowship policy or business or politics will be disallowed. There will be no follow up on disallowed postings.

• If you have questions about Fellowship policy or business, please send an email to a member of the UUFSMA Board who can then choose to raise it at a Board meeting.

Gmail addresses will be directly added to the UUFSMA Google Group. If you use a different email service (e.g., Yahoo!, Outlook, iCloud...), you will instead receive an email invitation with a direct acceptation link.

Start a new conversation
​You can start new conversations, read and respond to messages using the Google Groups website or directly from your email server.
​
Start a new conversation from your email server:
Step 1.  Create a regular new email with the information that you want to share to the Google Group.
You can add images, videos, audio or any file no larger than 25 megabytes.

Step 2.  Send the email to [email protected].
Your message will be automatically sent to the entire group. Please remember that all postings will be pre-screened for up to 24 hours before posting.

Start a new conversation from the Google Group Website:
​Step 1.  Sign in to Google Groups (click here).
​
Step 2.  Click "UUFSMA".

​3. At the top left, click New conversation.

4. Enter your message.
5. Click Post message.

Read and respond to messages
You can read and respond to messages using Google Groups or email.
​Respond via Google Groups

1. Sign in to Google Groups.
2. Click the name of a group.
3. Click the message you want to read.
4. Choose whether to reply to the group or individually:
   • To reply to the group, below the message text, click Reply all. Compose your replyclick Post Message.
   • To reply only to the person who posted, below the message text, click Reply to author. Compose your replyclick Send. 
   • To forward a message, below the message text, click Forward. Enter some message textclick Send.

Respond via email

1. Click the message in your email inbox. You can select any email in the conversation thread to reply to.
2. To respond only to the person who posted, select Reply. To respond to the whole group, select Reply all.
