Caminos de Agua: Provides open-source solutions related to water quality and quantity for communities at risk on our aquifer in Central Mexico. Grant funds a full time Community Outreach and Education specialist.

Casita Linda: Builds houses and provides workshops to help improve life for those living in poverty. Grant will fund program operations including the cost of twice weekly workshops and other community support work provided by social worker, Magda Perez, over an 8-month period.

CEDESA: Organizes communities for sustainable living in rural areas. Grant strengthens the community organization of COCIRA (Rural Citizen Council of Water) of San Miguel de Allende, through advice, accompaniment and promotion of community leaders for comprehensive community development, defense of territory and natural assets.

Centro Infantil de Los Ángeles: Provides high quality childcare (including health and educational needs) to low-income mothers allowing them to earn a living. Grant funds scholarships for childcare and preschool education for 10 children and supplemental groceries for some families.

Escuela de Educación Especial: Offers education to students with hearing impairment to ensure they become independent, literate, and productive citizens. Grant goes toward part of the salary of the Academic Director, setting up a new hearing clinic, and training teachers to educate a child who is both deaf and blind.

Fundación de Apoyo Infantil/ PEASMA: Supports positive lifelong habits through classes for children in environmental education, organic gardening, and recycling. Grant will be used to build a community rainwater harvesting module, including a catchment, storage and water treatment network, for the Community of Las Cañas of the Municipality of San Miguel de Allende, who recently lost access to water because the well that supplied them is dry.

Jóvenes Adelante: Provides university scholarships and support to promising, financially challenged youth. The grant continues sponsorship for each of 4 students who entered in 2020.

Libros Para Todos: Offers teacher training workshops to teachers in and around San Miguel to nurture students’ literacy, provides literature to students, and arranges for school visits by the authors of books featured. Grant helps to fund a learning center that services one of our rural communities, with internet (for a year as part of the pilot program), a screen for the classes on TV, a laptop and printer. It will house a pop-up library and a trained librarian, who is in charge of keeping the space open two days a week.

Mujeres en Cambio: Provides scholarships to girls and young women in rural communities to keep them in school and help them attend college. Grant will fund 15 girls through one more year of junior high school or high school.

Niños Con Autismo: Identifies, evaluates, and devises treatment plans, and assesses progress for children with autism. Grant supports the ongoing therapies for children in need, including therapy time for each child, purchase of needed testing and evaluative materials, and discussion time with the parents.
