Donations and Pledges to UUFSMA are used as follows:
Though most of the work of operating our fellowship is done by volunteers and committees, we do pay our minister and we pay four Mexican staff members for administrative and technical work. Our rent, as well as legal and accounting fees, also make up a portion of our annual expenditures.
Separate from the operating budget of the Fellowship, the UUFSMA Social Justice Foundation distributes generous grants to local non-profit organizations which provide health, education, and environmental services for underserved communities in the San Miguel region. The grant applications from these non-profit organizations are carefully vetted by our Foundation Governors and Stewards.
More information about how to support the UUFSMA Social Justice Foundation and the recent grantees is available on the tab at the top of this page.
